The IT team was created to provide IT support for Al Rugaib Holding Co. (RHC).

In 2005, Mutadawal Trading Est. was founded. Mutadawal has developed and launched its own systems (Mutadawal Expert, Mutadawal Web and Mutadawal Ticker) for dissemination of real time information of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) on subscription basis. It has become a licensed data vendor certified from Tadawul and has been honored for its efforts along with them to launch Tadawul NewGen System in the field of information dissemination service.

In 2009, the company was restructured and was given the contemporary name, “Spectrum Technology”. Spectrum is specialized in IT solutions including, for instance, system integration and network solutions, computer operations and maintenance, hardware, software development and web design. It also provides development and support for RHC’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship management (CRM) systems
